It is time for the second round of the ”second half of the matches” in Champions League’s first knockout stage. In this text I will give you my best odds, bettingtips and analysis for these four games.

First of all I am going to give you all the odds for these four matches and then my best bettingtips for each game. All the odds are picked from bwin football sportsbetting:

FC Bayern Munich 1.91 draw 3.50 Inter Milan 3.70

Manchester United 1.50 draw 3.90 Olympique de Marseille 6.25

FC Chelsea 1.30 draw 5.00 FC Copenhagen 9.00

Real Madrid 1.35 draw 4.75 Olympique Lyon 7.75

And here are my best bettingtips for these matches:

FC Bayern München vs. Inter Milan, bettingtips: home win @ 1.91 in odds

This is a rematch from the final in last year’s Champions League. Bayern Munich is looking for a revenge on that loss and after their win away at San Siro (0 – 1) they are in a good position to take that revenge.

It was a strange match in Italy in that sense that B. Munich started the match best and I was waiting for them to take the lead. They were the better side for like 60 – 70 minutes and had lots of chances. But with 20 – 25 minutes left of the game Inter Milan started to go forward since they were playing at home and they started to produce most of the chances. And just when I was waiting for Inter Milan to take the lead Bayern scored a late winner on a counter attack.

That result means that Inter Milan has to go for the win away at Alliance Arena, a fact that can make this game open and attacking. Bayern never goes for a draw at home and with Robben and Ribery showing a great form lately, this can be a great game to watch.

Bayern Munich is favorites according to the odds, and that is as it should be since they play at home. In addition to that they showed great strength in their last league game by beating Hamburg SV home with crushing 6 – 0.

So even though Bayern Munich doesn’t have to go for the win today I think that they will beat Inter Milan. Bwin pays 1.91 in odds and that is okay for me to place a bet on the German side.

Manchester United vs. Olympique de Marseille, bettingtips: Home win @ 1.50 in odds

Manchester United went to France with one though on their mind, to play 0 – 0 away and then take the win in the home return. And they at least managed to play 0 – 0 away according to Sir Alex Furgeson’s plan. And I cannot see that they won’t win this game at home now. Manchester United is a strong machine that goes far in all the cups and league by playing a solid team work in which every player knows exact what to do and what is expected from each of them.

Manchester United rarely loses match series like this and I don’t think they will do any mistakes here either. I am actually surprised that you can bet on Manchester United to 1.50 in odds in this game that is high odds. So my bettingtips goes to Manchester United with a highly recommendation to bet on this. My guess is that they will do 2 – 0 and then close the game with their defense.

FC Chelsea vs. FC Copenhagen, bettingtips: home win @ 1.30 in odds

FC Copenhagen from Denmark has made a great performance by going this far in Champions League but it of course ends here. Chelsea is way better then Copenhagen and after have winning the away game in Denmark with 0 – 2 I just cannot see how Copenhagen is going to come back from that result. It is a huge difference between these two sides and even though Chelsea are trough with all draws and all loses with one goal margin, I cannot see that they will give Copenhagen any opportunities here. Chelsea gets my bettingtips and 1.30 in odds is defiantly playable.

Real Madrid vs. Olympique Lyon, bettingtips: home win @ 1.35 in odds

It might feel a bit boring to bet on home win in all the four matches but I really think that this will end with a home win as well. But there is a warning over this bet though. According to the statistics Real Madrid have been knocked out from the first round of the knock out stage six years in a row! And last time that happened (last year) it was non else then Lyon that knocked them out.

But there is one difference in this year’s Real Madrid compared to earlier, and that is spelled José Mourinho. That guy has an ability to lift any team that he manages and the last team to expirer that was Inter, when he won the Champions League with the Italian side last year. Mourinho’s home results are scarring good, because he has not lost a single home game ever since the time in Porto. I think it’s about 140 home games since Mourinho lost his last game that he was manager for at home and after Porto he has been in Chelsea, Inter Milan and now Real Madrid. So I think that Real Madrid will break the barrier today and go to the quarter final.

Good luck with your champions League betting

Premier League is going on and it is getting more and more interesting. I find the next round very interesting and will try to give you my best bettingtips for the coming round. The interesting part in this round is that there are four derby’s coming up and one top match. The derby’s are: Liverpool vs. Everton, West Ham United vs. Arsenal, Birmingham vs. Aston Villa and then I have to count Sunderland vs. Newcastle as a derby as well. And the top match that I am talking about is of course Tottenham vs. Manchester United.

Most of the teams in the table have played 20 or 21 matches which means that we are a bit trough half of the series. In these two texts I will give you my best bettingtips for the matches that are going to be played in this round. I will give you all the odds, matches and my analyze together with the bettingtips of course. As usual I have chosen to split the text into two parts since there are so many matches to go trough.

All the odds are picked from bwin premier league betting in the comparison.

Here are the first five matches:

FC Chelsea vs. Blackburn Rovers, odds: home win 1.25 draw 5.00 away win 12.00

Manchester City vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers, odds home win 1.25 draw 5.00 away win 12.00

Stoke City vs. Bolton Wanderers, odds home win 2.15 draw 3.25 away win 3.25

West Bromwich vs. Blackpool, odds: 1.70 draw 3.80 away win 4.40

Wigan Athletic vs. Fulham, odds 2.45 draw 3.05 away win 2.90

And here are my best bettingtips for these matches:

FC Chelsea vs. Blackburn Rovers, bettingtips: home win @ 1.25 in odds

It might feel insane to bet on Chelsea since they are sinking like a stone in water at the moment, but I think that their revenge is coming soon, probably in this game. They won with 7 – 0 against Ipswich in the FA-cup in their last match and I think that was the turn for Angelotti’s team.

Blackburn is going stronger then expected this season according to me and Sam Allardyce has really done a good job with the team. But in this game I have a strong feeling for Chelsea, so I choose to put my bettingtips on them. But I would never recommend a high stake on the bet on Chelsea since they only pay 1.25 in odds at bwin.

Manchester City vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers, bettingtips home win @ 1.25 in odds

I almost feel like a coward today, starting my two first bettingtips with two bets on very low odds. But this is also a match that I can not se that Manchester City won’t win. Of course there are always miracles, and I would not say that it would be a miracle if Man City didn’t win this game but I really think that they will.

Wolverhampton is having a tough time when they play on away ground. They are getting stronger and stronger home at Mollineux, but when they play away it is hard. City of Manchester Stadium is now days one of the hardest away matches to play at and I think that the only thing that can stop Man City from win this game is underestimation. Hopefully they will not underestimate Wolverhampton and then I can see that Man City will win by several goals margin. 1.25 in odds is okey to bet on, maybe a combo together with Chelsea for those who are looking for “safe money”. Manchester City gets my bettingtips here.

Stoke City vs. Bolton Wanderers, bettingtips away win @ 3.25 in odds

Stoke is normally a very strong side home at Britannia, but this year has not been that strong this season as the previous two. Bolton on the other hand is going strong in the league and actually has a place in the Europe League at the moment.

Even though I feel that Stoke might be small favourites in this game I cannot motivate to bet on them to 2.15 in odds. That is to low odds according to me. Instead I was looking at the draw and away win since they stand at the same odds. And my final tips went on the away team in this match.

West Bromwich vs. Blackpool, bettingtips home win @ 1.70 in odds

This is two newcomers in the Premier League since both these teams played in Championship last year. But both teams have been going really well. Blackpool is probably the biggest surprise but West Bromwich is going best of these two.

I think that West Brom will win this game thanks to their home advantage and am satisfied with 1.70 in odds on the home win, West Bromwich gets my bettingtips.

Wigan Athletic vs. Fulham, bettingtips: draw @ 3.05 in odds

Wigan is a bit up and down this year while Fulham is playing a lot of draws. Wigan is slightly favourites in this game but I feel that draw is a possible outcome and that’s what I place my bet on as well. 3.05 is actually a low odds on a draw, but I still try that tips since I believe on it.

More bettingtips is coming in the next text

Now I have given you the odds and my best bettingtips on the first five matches of this round. In this text you will get the rest of the matches and not that I have all of the derby’s and the top match between Tottenham vs. Manchester United left to analyze and bet on. Here are the matches and the odds of the rest of the games, and the odds is picked from bwin premier league betting:

West Ham United vs. FC Arsenal odds: home win 6.00 draw 4.00 away win 1.50

Birmingham City vs. Aston Villa, odds: home win 2.35 draw 3.10 away win 3.00

Sunderland vs. Newcastle United, odds: home win 2.10 draw 3.20 away win 3.40

FC Liverpool vs. FC Everton, odds: home win 2.15 draw 3.20 away win 3.30

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United, odds: home win 2.85 draw 3.25 away win 2.35

And my best odds and bettingtips on these matches:

West Ham United vs. FC Arsenal, bettingtips away win @ 1.50 in odds

A London-derby, even though it is not one of the toughest and most prestigious derby’s in London. Both Tottenham and Chelsea go before west Ham when we are talking about prestigious derby’s.

But this is a big game for West Ham, and after has beating Birmingham at home in carlings cup with one man less I think that West Ham are on their way up. But Arsenal is still some steps ahead of West Ham and if they can come up to normal standard, I guess that Arsenal will win this game comfortably.

I had hoped on a bit higher odds on Arsenal to win then 1.50 that bwin gives, but it is still the most valuable odds and bet in this game so I pick Arsenal as my winner and my tips in this London derby.

Birmingham City vs. Aston Villa, bettingtips home win @ 2.35

It was long time ago since Birmingham was this much ahead of Aston Villa in the table and that Birmingham was this big favourite against their worst rivals. But Aston Villa has really been doing badly this year and they are actually beneath the relegation mark, which is very strange since they have a strong squad.

Birmingham is fighting well and is at the moment on the 15th place in the league. They are only one point ahead of Aston Villa, but my feeling is that they have shown more stability in their play so far in the league. I think that this is going to be a tough and tight battle but that Birmingham will win this game with the odd goal. 2.35 is an okay odds on the home win, but since this is a derby I would not recommend any higher stakes.

Sunderland vs. Newcastle United, bettingtips home win @ 2.10

This is a good bet according to me. Newcastle has changed manager not too long time ago and that was a very controversial decision by the owner. Sunderland on the other hand is going really strong in the Premier League and is at the moment as high as on sixth place in the league. That is very surprising for me since I thought that Sunderland was going to fight in the middle/bottom half of the table.

I find the home win on Sunderland as a really good bet and the odds at 2.10 feels better then good enough. This is one of the best bettingtips in this round.

FC Liverpool vs. FC Everton, bettingtips home win @ 2.15 in odds

On the derby above I wrote that it was long time ago since Birmingham was this big favourite against Aston Villa. In this Mercy side derby I can say that it was very long time ago since Liverpool paid this much against Everton at home. This is actually a normal odds on Liverpool when they play away against Everton the last 20 years.

But since Liverpool is going really bad in the league and Everton, at the moment, the other way I can understand that Liverpool pays as much as 2.15 in odds.

But even though Liverpool has been going really bad in the league I think that things are going to turn soon, just as I believe it will do for Chelsea. Their new manager Kenny Dalglish has not got any good start with two losses in two matches, but they should win soon. And with their fantastic fans and a hot derby against Everton at home I think that Pool will take three important points. I choose to place my bettingtips on Liverpool to 2.15 in odds.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United, bettingtips home win @ 2.85

This is a great match in advantage. Tottenham has really shown that they want to fight with the big fishes this year while Manchester United (and Sir Alex Furgeson) has shown that they are reliable as always. Normally Manchester United has had very easy against Tottenham the last couple of years, but Tottenham has not been on this level until last year. They have beaten Arsenal away for the first time in many years, and now I think that Tottenham will beat Manchester United at home as well and make the league table even more interesting.

Good luck with your Premier League bets

Champions League is back again after some weeks break, and now it is time for the last round. I am going to give you my best bettingtips for group C + D in Tuesday’s matches, in these two texts (one text for each group). This is the last round of Champions League and that means that some of the matches are critical for some teams while other matches are less critical. This is something that you should be aware of before you place your bets and pick your odds.

I will give you my best bettingtips and the odds that bwin football betting is offering for all the matches and then you can choose your best bets your selves. Before all the tips, I will give you an overall summary of the standings in each group and what the different teams are playing for. This time I will give you some other “special-bet” tips, not only 1-x-2 that I normally do. And keep in mind that I do give you my best bettingtips according to the odds and odds value. Not in order to give you the “safest” bets but, those that I think gives the best gain in the longer term.

Group C

This group is almost as definite as it can be. Manchester United and Valencia will go to the next round. Glasgow Rangers have already secured that they will be third in this group and will continue playing in Europe League in the spring. And it is also sure that Bursaspor will end up last in the group.

Manchester United have 13 points going before this final round, Valencia have 10 points, Rangers have five points and Bursaspor is in the bottom of the table without one single point.

This means that the only battle that is still living in this regarding which team will end up by winning group C.

Manchester United vs. Valencia (1-x-2), odds: home win: 1.48 in odds draw: 4.05 in odds and away win: 6.25 in odds

My best bettingtips: Manchester United (home team) to win @ 1.48 in odds

As I wrote above, this is the only match that means a bit. But since both these teams are already qualified to next round my guess is that many ordinary players will rest today since there are more important league games coming up.

Manchester United’s league game last weekend was not played because of the bad weather in England. That means that they have got more rest compared to Valencia’s players. And if my guess is correct, that both teams managers, I believe that Man United’s reserves are better then Valencia’s. And then I don’t think that Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in the second place either. So even if this game doesn’t mean that much for any of the teams I have a feeling that Manchester United will win the game. 1.48 in odds is not an odds that I would invest so much money on, but I still think that they will win this game. So home win will be my bettingtips to you in this game.

Bursaspor vs. Glasgow Rangers (1-x-2), odds: home win: 2.00 in odds, draw: 3.45 in odds and away win: 3.40 in odds

My best bettingtips: Draw @ 3.45 in odds

This game means absolutely nothing for any of the teams since both teams knows where they will end in the table even after the game regardless of how this match ends. And in this particular match, I feel that it is difficult to take favour of any of the teams before this game.

Bursaspor is, and should be, small favourites in this game because they play at home. But I do not think they should be as big favourites that they should be paying for 2.00 in the odds. I can not feel the motivation to bet on a victory for Rangers at 3.40 in the odds since I do not feel that this match means very much for them either. Therefore, my conclusion is that 3.45 in the odds on a draw is the only possible betting tips in this match.

Other interesting bettingtips from the matches in Group A:

Manchester United vs. Valencia, under 2.5 goals in the game @ 2.02 in odds

I am very surprised that there is a higher odds on the bet that it will be at least three goals in this match. According to me it should be absolutely the opposite. I have followed both these teams for a long time and am confident that they will not play overly offensive in this game. Manchester United usually doesn’t do more than what they needed when they are not playing important games, like this. In addition to that, they have not let in any goals so far in the tournament so they should play to go through the group stage with no goals conceded.

Nor Valencia should be overly offensive in this match. Therefore, I find under 2.5 goals as a good odds and that is my bettingtips in this match. I would not be surprised if the match ends 1-0 or 2-0 to Manchester United.

My analysis and bettingtips for Group D will be presented in the next text below.

Above I have presented my best bettingtips for group C and the odds that I find most attractive is the tips on”under 2, 5 goals” in Manchester United vs. Valencia.

In this text I will give you my analyze for group D and my best bettingtips and odds for the matches that will be played in this group.

Group D

Since all the other groups are more or less finished with regard to the main positions, I feel that this is the only group has some excitement left. Barcelona goes trough from this round and that is not surprising. But behind Barcelona, there is a great battle about which team will end second and in the group and follow the Spaniards to the next round.

Before this round it is very surprisingly Danish FC Copenhagen that has the second place just before Russian Rubin Kazan.

Last the group is Panathinaikos, and they have only two pints so far. Barcelona is not only ready for the next round, but has also secured the victory. Then is it only one point in favour of FC Copenhagen before Rubin Kazan (seven points vs. six points). And last is Panathinaikos, and they can not be better than last since they are four points behind of Rubin Kazan with only three points left to fight for.

Here are my best bettingtips and odds for the matches

Barcelona vs. Rubin Kazan (1-x-2), odds: home win: 1.28 in odds, draw: 5.35 in odds and away win: 8.75 in odds

My best bettingtips: Draw @ 5.35 in odds

Rubin Kazan has two opportunities to go trough in this champions League round (to the knock-out stage). Either they take one point in this game at Camp Nou and hope that Panathinaikos will beat FC Copenhagen away in Denmark. Or Rubin Kazan wins this game and hope that Panathinaikos at least takes one point in Denmark.

Both the alternatives are very difficult for the Russians, but I am still convinced that they will make an honest attempt to win away against Barcelona in this tough match.

Rubin Kazan have really had a very good defence throughout the tournament and only allowed two goals in five games. That include that they have already played against Barcelona once.

Their major problem has been that they been too defensive in their matches and therefore only managed to score two goals ahead. Rubin Kazan played so defensive both at home and away against Panathinaikos, so they only got 0-0 in both these matches. If they had dared to be a little more offensive in at least the home game they had perhaps been in a better position before the last match on Tuesday.

Barcelona has already won the group and although they are a strong team, I do not think they will do their very best in this match. Perhaps it will be enough to win anyway because they have such great reserves in the squad, but I do not think it worth to gamble on Barcelona to such low odds as 1.28. Therefore I choose to place my bet on the draw to more interesting 5.35 in odds.

FC Copenhagen vs. Panathinaikos (1-x-2), odds: home win: 1.45 in odds, draw: 4.25 in odds and away win: 6.25 in odds

My best bettingtips: FC Copenhagen (home team) to win @ 1.45 in odds

Normally I would never touch an odds of 1.45 on FC Copenhagen to defeat Panathinaikos even though they are playing at home. But this is not an ordinary match. FC Copenhagen has the chance, that for the first time ever, make it through from a group stage of the Champions League. At the same time, Panathinaikos has nothing at all to play for. So which teams have most of the motivation is defiantly not hard to guess – of course the Danes.

And I must say that FC Copenhagen really have made a great impression on me during this tournament. They took a point at home to Barcelona and do not need to apologize because they stole that point. I was impressed of their play in that match.

Furthermore, they played really well in the match against Barcelona and shook the home team at the mighty Nou Camp. They beat even this opponent, Panathinaikos, in a very difficult away match in Greece and also defeated the Russian Rubin Kazan at home. Therefore I find the odds 1.45 on home win worth betting on even though it is way lower then it should be “normally”.

Good Luck with your Champions League betting wishes

If Arsenal wins their extra game that they are behind we will have three teams within two point’s margin in the top of the table, and it was several years ago that three teams where fighting that close in the top. According to the odds before this season Manchester United and Chelsea were big favourites. And Liverpool was supposed to be the challenger, not Arsenal like they have become. And after a strong autumn I defiantly think that Arsenal can challenge for the title all the way through out the season.

Here I will share with me my best betting tips for the coming weekend and even analyze some of the other matches that might bee interesting from a betting perspective. One general recommendation from me is that you should keep in mind that the Africa Cup of nation starts on Sunday the 10th of January, and that means most of the better African players will be away for a couple of weeks. First of all the odds for the matches that will be played:

Hull City 7.15 draw 4.35 FC Chelsea 1.40

Burnley 2.15 draw 3.20 Stoke City 3.30

FC Arsenal 1.40 draw 4.15 FC Everton 8.00

Fulham 1.60 draw 3.60 Portsmouth 5.50

Sunderland 1.90 draw 3.25 Bolton Wanderers 4.00

Wigan Athletic 2.85 draw 3.25 Aston Villa 2.35

Birmingham City 5.50 draw 3.65 Manchester United 1.60

West Ham United 1.75 draw 3.45 Wolverhampton Wanderers 4.60

FC Liverpool 1.85 draw 3.40 Tottenham Hotspur 4.00

Manchester City 1.35 draw 4.50 Blackburn Rovers 8.25

And my best picks for this weekend:

Fulham vs. Portsmouth – home win @ 1.60

Fulham has showed that they have become a really high-quality team with Roy Hudson as manager. Two years ago, before Hudson took over as manager, they where almost relegated. But a strong surprisingly finish meant that they avoided relegation with only three goals better then Reading. Last year Roy Hudson took them out in Europe with a strong seventh place, and even this year they are fighting in those areas in the table.

Fulham is a typical home-side this season with 6 wins in 10 games and 15 – 6 in goal difference. They have already beaten Liverpool (3 – 1) and Manchester United (3 – 0).

Portsmouth have woken up after their change of manager and former Chelsea manager Avram Grant has started to give their supporters hope for the future. But Pompay seems to have trouble with their economy and the player’s salary has been delayed three times already this season. It looks better for Portsmouth now then three – four weeks ago, but I still think that they have a tough season in front of them.

With only one win, and five points, in ten away-games they have big problems on the road. Even though the situation is a bit brighter in Portsmouth I don’t see how they can steal points from Fulham at Craven cottage. That’s why I bet on the home win in this game to 1.60 in odds.

Wigan vs. Aston Villa – away win @ 2.35

Aston Villa has been fighting in the top of the league for a couple of years now but never been really close to take on of top 4 places that gives them a place in Champions League qualification.

But something tells me that they have a good chance to break into the big 4 wall this season. Villa has shown strength both at home and away and has taken 15 points in 10 away games.

Wigan has big problems with their defence and with 44 goals against them they are last in the table over conceded goals. Aston Villa is only two points behind Tottenham on the fourth place and has chased that position for a long time. A win against Wigan pays 2.35 in odds and according to me that’s a good bet.

Here is some analysis from some other matches this weekend:

FC Liverpool 1.85 draw 3.40 Tottenham Hotspur 4.00

Liverpool hasn’t gone this bad in many years and at the moment seventh in the league. I have seen many of Liverpool’s matches this year and there are only one or two matches that I have been impressed by their game. Even though they have won some matches they don’t play to good, and it feels like something’s very wrong in that club right now. I am pretty sure that Rafa Benitez would had been sacked if he hadn’t signed up until 2014 (witch means that it would cost the owners lots and lots of money to sack him right now).

Tottenham on the other side are really strong at the moment and have the fourth place, and they have deserved it as well. Liverpool has become way to big favourites in this game according to the odds, and my betting-tips are that they won’t win. If you are going to bet on this game I would recommend the draw, witch pays 3.40 in odds. Even the away bet is interesting.

Another win that I think is Manchester City. City’s odds aren’t valuable, but “Hammers” might be interesting if they don’t have too many injuries.

All the odds is picked from bwin-odds-tips

Good luck with your weekend-bet

We are in a strange period of Premier League at the moment and the last weeks have been really hard to predict the outcome of the games. It has been lots of surprises with the teams with way higher odds as winners.

What can you else say about results like; Chelsea – Everton 1-1, Bolton – Manchester City 3 – 3, Man Utd - Aston Villa 0 – 1, Tottenham – Wolverhampton 0-1 from last weekend or like Burnley – Arsenal 1 – 1 (on Wednesday) or Fulham – Manchester United 3 – 0 and Portsmouth – Liverpool 2 – 0 from this Saturday.

He or she who had predicted these results got insane odds but the question is if anyone at all found these results?

These two weeks has been a might mare for us players and a golden week for the betting company. For a couple of weeks ago I wrote that this period of the year is the toughest and since both Manchester United and Arsenal has lots of injuries it can be hard to win game after game in December and January.

I often say that there is about one or two weeks in every season when most of the top team drops points. But an interesting fact this season is that the top 4 clubs (Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal) already has lost more games totally so far in Premier League then they totally lost hole last season.

And in these hard days I will try to give you my best picks for Sunday’s matches and hopefully expand your Christmas wallet. Here are the games for today and tomorrow:

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2.05 draw 3.20 Burnley 3.75

FC Everton 1.85 draw 3.30 Birmingham City 4.20

West Ham United 8.50 draw 4.50 FC Chelsea 1.35

Wigan Athletic 2.00 draw 3.25 Bolton Wanderers 3.65

Here are my best bets, all the odds is collected from bwin football sportsbetting

Wolverhampton vs Burnely, home win @ 2.05

Wolverhampton’s manager chose to rest all his ordinary players in Tuesdays match against Manchester United at home. That has been much discussed in England if it is “okay” to act like that. My opinion is that it defiantly is okay as long as it benefits your own team.

I think that Wolves had lost against Manchester United anyway and so by resting all his important players he spared them to this vital game.

Burnely are really hard to beat home at Turf More, but in their away-matches they have been more vulnerable. Just like Burnley even Wolverhampton feels way stronger home at Molineux and my feeling is that Wolves have a god chance to win this game thanks to their home advantage and that their player will be more rested then Burnley’s player after their tough game against Arsenal at home on Wednesday.

So I think that the odds (2.05) that is paid for a home win here is worth a shot.

Everton vs Birmingham, home win @ 1.85

Birmingham are on of the strongest team in Premier League at the moment seen to their form, but even Everton has been playing well lately and for example took one point against Chelsea at Stamford Brigde.

Everton had a disaster start of this season but if feels like David Moyce’s team has started to climb up in the table even though it goes slow. They have had a tough schedule lately but played pretty well.

Birmingham stays on five wins in a row and that’s really impressive for the newcomers for this year. Bur some how I think that Everton might win this game. They have lots of players that can win this game to their advantage such as Louis Saha, Marouane Fellaini, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov or maybe Mikel Arteta. All of them are top class players and I think that Everton will give their home crowd on Goodison a nice Christmas present today. 1.85 in odds may feel a bit low to bet against a Birmingham with great form, but I have a feeling for Everton today and pick them as winners today.

West Ham vs Chelsea, over 2,5 goals @ 1.70

I choose to bet on over 2,5 goals here and not 1-x-2. Chelsea is way to big favourites here and if I would pick a outcome in this game it would had been a home win or draw. The odds that Chelsea stands on (1.35) is ridiculous according to me and I would never even be close to bet on that away against West Ham.

But I have a feeling that we will see lots of goals in this game and even though Chelsea might win at the end I think that over 2,5 goals to 1.70 in odds feels way better to bet on. Both these teams have lots of interesting attacking players in their squad.

Wigan Athletic vs Bolton Wanderers, draw @ 3.25

This game is played on Monday and my feeling is that this might be a tough and tight game. Both teams are struggling in the bottom of the table and every point is necessary. Bolton have started to take some points lately and Wigan is one of those teams that is hard to predict.

They can play really good football in their best days and almost beat any team. But at the same time they can loose against any teams as well, so draw feels like a possible outcome in this game, 3.25 in odds is okay.

Good Luck with your Premier League bets, regards

On Sunday, 8 August, it is time for the Community shield match. That means that the Premier League season is close and that the English football season has started. It is close to that day now and I am really looking forward to Sunday and the kick-off of FA Community shield.

In this text, I am going to give you my thoughts of this game and the best bettingtips that I find. My odds are picked from bwin football sportsbetting and they have whole 94 different betting opportunities on their marked at this moment. I really like a site that offers many different type of betting both live and before the games start and bwin is exemplary on that area.

I will start with my bettingtips, the odds and my analyze regarding 1-x-2 betting. After that, I will give some other tips on special betting.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea, odds: Manchester united to win @ 2.90 in odds, draw @ 3.10 in odds, Chelsea to win @ 2.40 in odds

My bettingtips: Manchester United vs. Chelsea, draw @ 3.10 in odds

What a game immediately! The last couples of years two biggest teams in England get to play the FA Community shield and make the kick-off for this year’s season. Chelsea won the Premier League last year, only one point ahead of Manchester United. I don’t know if we can talk about some kind of chance to revenge here, but what we can talk about is that both Chelsea and Manchester United has a great chance to put themselves in respect for the coming season.

Most of the matches that have been played between these two teams lately have been tough, hard and very even. In addition, in the first competitive match of the year I cannot see that any of the teams are superior their opponents. My feeling is that we can look forward to a even game at Wembley stadium and even though it means a lot to start the season with this trophy I wonder if the managers will play out all their secret cards in this game.

I have hard to choose any side in game and therefore I choose to bet on draw. It pays 3.10 in odds and that is enough to bet on according to me. If you choose to bet as I do, I recommend you to keep an eye on the livebetting if the standing is draw and maybe 10 – 15 minutes left of the game. That might be a good time to try to sell your bets if you want to secure a win if the match is switching side to much and both teams are going for the win.

Over / Under 2,5 goals in the match?

Odds: Over 2,5 goals: 2.10 in odds and Under 2,5 goals: 1.65 in odds

My bettingtips: Under 2,5 goals @ 1.65 in odds

As I am writing above, I think that this will be a tight, tough and even game. What I did not write above was that I even think it will be very few goals in this match. It is the beginning of the season and the tempo cannot be on top. I have the feeling that this game will end 0 – 0 or 1 – 0. Nevertheless, for this bet it can even end 0 – 1, 1 – 0, 2 – 0, 0 – 2 for me to win.

My feeling is that both teams will open pretty cautious and try to find their positions. Both teams play with about the same formations (4-3-3, or 4-3-2-1 depending how you like to write it) which means that it will be hard to get a advantage on the other team until the players starting to get a bit tired.

I would not pay a lot in odds on that the result is 0 – 0 at half time and if it would be the case I would be very happy for both my bets.

How many yellow cards will be shown in the match? Over / under 3,5 yellow cards

odds: Over 3,5 yellow cards: 2.20 in odds and Under 3,5 yellow cards: 1.60 in odds

My bettingtips: Over 3,5 Yellow cards in the match @ 2.20 in odds

I am a bit surprised that you can get this much in odds on a bet that it will be four (or more) yellow cards shown in this game. I am aware of that it will probably be shown less yellow cards in this game then if it would had been a regular league match, but still there is lot of prestige in this game and I would not predict that the players will hold back their tackles if it is necessary.

Even though this is the first game for the league and it doesn’t mean any further qualification or three points in the league table I still am sure that both of the teams wants to win this game. It is still a trophy and it is against the worst rivals according to the odds. So this is a very interesting bet and I will defiantly place this bet in this game.

Good luck with your betting & tips

Most groups have two obvious favourites for qualification to the knock-out stage and in this group I think that France and Mexico are the favourites. South Africa are the host nation and whilst they will get lots of support it will be tough for them in what is a strong group. My bet would be for France to earn two wins and one draw for seven points which is 3/1 with bwin.com. I also expect Mexico to do well, they always seem to be a bit underrated in my opinion. My bet on the final league standing will be France/Mexico/Uruguay/South Africa in that order which has odds of 21/4. I really like this betting market for the final group standings, it is a great idea.

Group B

Argentina 2/5, Nigeria 9/2, Greece 13/2, Korea Republic 11/1

I think Argentina could win the World Cup and are rightly heavy favourites to be group winners. Korea should finish bottom so the real fight appears to be between Nigeria and Greece for second place. Greece face South Korea first so should force Nigeria to chase them for second. As Nigeria won CAF qualifying group B I will tip them to win the race for second place as Greece only qualified via a UEFA playoff and struggled throughout qualification. My bets for this group is Argentina to get 9 points at 5/2 (very nice odds) and the final group standings to be Argentina/Nigeria/Greece/Korea at 13/4.

Group C

England 3/10, USA 4/1, Slovenia 11/1, Algeria 16/1

The biggest test for England is their first match against the USA. Providing they come through that match they should find winning the group reasonably straightforward. I expect many goals in this group as Algeria in particular are vulnerable defensively. I do give USA some credit as a reasonable team so given I expect them to qualify and I like the 4/5 odds on USA scoring over 3.5 goals. I also like USA to lose to England and beat the other two teams so 17/4 for USA to obtain six points in the group seems reasonable. I expect no surprises in terms of final placings in the group so would back England/USA/Slovenia/Algeria to be the final league standings at 9/4.

Group D

Germany 4/5, Serbia 57/20, Ghana 9/2, Australia 15/2

This group might be a little more open. I would expect Germany to win this group clearly with nine points at 7/2. The rest of the group is tight. Serbia finished top of a tough qualifying group that included France so you have to give them a chance at coming second. For Serbia to get six points seems a good bet at 17/4. Ghana’s team will feature many of the Under 21 team that won the Under 21 World Cup last year beating Brazil in the final. This looks like curtailing any chance the Australians have at qualifying from the group. You could make an argument for Ghana qualifying, but for my final standings tip I will go for Germany/Serbia/Ghana/Australia at 4/1. The higher price seems to reflect the competitive nature of the group.

In the opening part of this article we looked at the World Cup betting opportunities offered by leading online sports betting company bwin.com and discussed which teams might win the groups and the various bets you can place. We will now consider the betting opportunities for World Cup groups E to H. These groups feature tournament favourites Brazil and Spain.

Group E

Holland 1/2, Denmark, 43/10, Cameroon 43/10, Japan 14/1

Holland are the obvious favourites for this group and I think a run towards World Cup glory is long overdue for them. Japan finished second in their World Cup qualification group and have averaged three goals per match recently, but against stronger opposition I expect qualification to be difficult for them. Cameroon legend Roger Milla criticised forward Samuel Eto’o and caused Eto’o to threaten to walk out before the World Cup begins. 12/5 for Holland to earn seven points is a good bet I think, as is Cameroon to qualify as they have a good record in the World Cup. My estimate for the final standings is Holland/Cameroon/Denmark/Japan at 77/20. Eto’o quitting the squad would see my decision change to give Denmark the edge to take second place.

Group F

Italy 19/50, Paraguay 31/10, Slovakia 13/2 New Zealand 80/1

New Zealand have done very well to qualify and with Italy as the clear favourites for first place this group is about second and third place in my view. Paraguay finished ahead of Argentina in qualifying and that lends me to think they will finish in second place. This group seems to have a wide skill gap between each team, so I expect no surprises. My favoured bet for this group is the final standings as Italy/Paraguay/Slovakia/New Zealand which is odds on, reflecting my view on skill, at 17/20. I think the over 4.5 goals in the group stage for Paraguay at 19/20, taking into account their matches they should win against Slovakia and New Zealand are also good odds.

Group G

Brazil 11/20, Portugal 13/4, Ivory Coast 7/2, Korea DPR 100/1

This is a really strong group with Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal in it. Didier Drogba leads the way for the Ivory Coast team but the obvious expected qualifiers from this group are Brazil and Portugal. I believe Portugal will win the group thanks to drawing with Brazil and then allowing the unbelievable skills of Cristiano Ronaldo to pick apart the weaker sides. My final standings bet will be Portugal/Brazil/Ivory Coast/Korea DPR at 19/5 and I also like the total goals scored in this group to be over 17.5 at 51/50. The match between Brazil and Portugal is one not to be missed particularly at this point in the competition.

Group H

Spain 11/50, Chile 23/5, Switzerland 10/1, Honduras 40/1

Spain are my pick to make the World Cup final and as Chile finished second to Brazil in the qualifying group for South America these teams are the obvious choices to qualify. Switzerland face Spain first and although they qualified top of their group it was a weak group. Honduras are a new team to the World Cup but have a victory over Chile and had a good defensive record. I am going to stick my neck out and say they will finish third. My bet in final standings for this group will be Spain/Chile/Honduras/Switzerland at 21/4.

Good luck with all of your World Cup betting on the groups and look out for more articles on World Cup betting coming very soon.
