Weekend Football Betting Tips 7th to 9th November 2009
The weekend does seem to come around quickly! You may have just collected your winnings from last week but you now need to focus my new set of football betting tips. Using the odds from bwin.com here are the value bets to make you profit from your football betting this weekend. The odds are correct at the time of writing and subject to change. Firstly, three matches for Saturday.
Aston Villa 1.70 Draw 3.60 Bolton 4.60
You have to feel sorry for Bolton. Their last four games have been Chelsea, Everton, Man Utd and now Aston Villa. They have taken four points from these games so far but against Villa they are facing a team that could be 4th in the table if midweek results go their way. Gary Megson has called on Zat Knight to improve in Defence, knowing they need a strong performance to get anything out of this game. Villa has been excellent at home so far this season apart from an opening day defeat against Wigan. They recorded four wins in a row after that match and only a goal scoring drought has prevented three draws being victories. I think a home win is value here and that if they can hit the net, it could be another painful day for Bolton. 1.70 may drop if they win tonight against West Ham so get on early.
Tottenham Hotspur 1.55 Draw 3.50 Sunderland 6.50
Spurs have lost their last two games, both away, failing to score in either game. They have lost influential defender Bassong for up to five weeks because of a hamstring problem and have suffered a loss of form after a blistering start to the season. Sunderland suffered a loss against Birmingham then drew with West Ham 2-2 but still lie in 8th position in the league and look like a team ready to force their way into Europe. They will be without Jones up front due to suspension but could still cause the Londoners big problems. I think we may see an upset here. Go safe on the draw bet or punt on Sunderland. Darren Bent will be hell bent on showing Spurs what they are missing by selling him to Sunderland in pre-season.
Wolves 7.50 Draw 4.25 Arsenal 1.40
I think a quick tip is Arsenal to win. Near 1.50 when such heavy favourites is reasonable value to me, as being away should make little difference. Keiron Gibbs will stand in for the injured Clichy and a subplot of the season could be his England inclusion for the World Cup. Back to this weekends betting, however, I would use Arsenal to top up your accumulator bets.
Four close matches are played on Sunday, with Liverpool and Birmingham on Monday. I see no value in Liverpool at 1.30 on Monday, but plenty to be had on Sunday. Here are my two best matches for Sunday.
West Ham 2.30 Draw 3.35 Everton 2.85
Amazing value for the away win here for Everton. West Ham is in 19th position and has just lost their case against Alan Curbishley meaning they must pay out over £2 million in compensation. This will have dismayed all at the club. Saha is scoring well for Everton and although they have not won in four this is a great chance for them to put that right. Odds of 2.85 on Everton are great while you can get it!
Chelsea 2.10 Draw 3.25 Man Utd 3.35
This is the big match of the weekend with the two Premiership title favourites going head to head. Chelsea will be determined to build on their run of their two big victories recently and move five points clear of their rivals. Manchester United will go top by one point should they defeat Chelsea. The neutral spectator will hope for a Manchester win to keep the title race close, but Chelsea are rightly favourites here. Rooney should play, as he did so last night in the Champions league despite the birth of son Kai. Despite winning their last game Chelsea are devastating in attack and against a frail looking Manchester defence I am going for the home win for Chelsea. This is definitely one match you must watch this weekend.
My £10 treble bet for this weekend will be Chelsea, Everton and Aston Villa. A little speculative but basing this on value I can expect a return of £101.75 if my hunches turn out correct. Wish me luck, and I wish you luck too on your football betting this weekend.
