Premiership Football Tips for 29th October – 1st November 2009
Welcome back to my weekly football betting tips that use the odds on offer from bwin.com to help you decide your weekend soccer bets for the Premiership. This season the football season has been very competitive with many teams out performing the fancied sides and claiming big wins. Our search for value bets is proving difficult, but as ever there are enticing matches to bet on this weekend. Let’s look at the best bets on offer.
Arsenal 1.50 Draw 4.00 Tottenham 6.00
This London derby is always fiercely contested and this match should be no different. Arsenal has a rested first team and Nasri is back from injury further bolstering their midfield. Young midfielder Fran Merida also looked good in the league cup midweek. After a loss to Stoke Spurs will be determined to maintain the form that has pushed them into the top four of the league. A loss here could permanently derail that push for a champion’s league place. I think an improved performance here could cause Arsenal problems. I am going for the draw at 4.00, but could not argue with anyone who went either way on the home or away win. This will be a great match.
Fulham 4.10 Draw 3.35 Liverpool 1.85
I think the key consideration for this match is that Aquilani, who came on as a sub in midweek and looked good, is now ready to enter the midfield fray with Gerrard. I believe that Aquilani will form a part of a trio of stars with Gerrard and Torres to help put the team back near the top of the league. Fulham should not stop an away win here. Liverpool squads strength in depth is a worry, but they have a good first team providing they stay fit. After beating Manchester United last Sunday they look primed for a return to form. Fulham have done well recently with Duff in good form, but I think Liverpool at 1.85 is value we cannot ignore.
Sunderland 1.90 Draw 3.40 West Ham 3.80
After such a promising start Sunderland lost in the league cup to Aston Villa and it was poignant that without free scoring Darren Bent they looked a little weak up front. Jordan Henderson looks a good prospect and was praised by Bruce this week. Losing to Birmingham last week should keep their feet on the ground after a promising start to the season. West Ham are in big trouble in 19th place and have not won a game since 15th August. They rely too much on Carlton Cole and provided Sunderland keep him quiet you fancy them to win this game at a canter. 1.90 seems awesome value to me.
Bolton Wanderers 7.75 Draw 4.20 Chelsea 1.40
Chelsea are flying high at the top of the league, but they need to keep the pressure on. This game should be extremely comfortable for them if they play their best. They destroyed Blackburn 5-0 and if they get an early goal here then you would think this game could be another easy win. Bolton are 12th in the table and lost 4-0 to Chelsea’s fringe team at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday in the cup, so belief in their ability to beat the first team will be low. The away win for Chelsea at a decent 1.40 is my tip for this game. Bolton did well to beat Everton 3-2 but face a far superior attacking team this week.
My bet for this week is another treble bet. I shall be backing Sunderland to win at 1.90, Liverpool to win at 1.85 and Chelsea to win at 1.40. This treble would return £49.21 including your stake at a £10 wager. A great bet I feel. If you want a double bet then leave out Chelsea and will you get a total return including your stake of £35.15 for the bet. Good luck with your football betting this weekend. If you are around during the weekend you should check out bwin live betting which I found really entertaining last week.
Please note prices are correct at the time of posting and are subject to change. This would alter the returns of the bets stipulated.
