Premiership Football Betting Tips March 13th 2010

With Chelsea and Manchester United battling for supremacy in the Premiership and also in the Champions League, following Football at this point in the season is where the action reaches its climax. Whichever team copes best with the demands of the end of season run-in is the team to focus on when football betting. Using the football betting odds from bwin.com, here are my top picks for the Premier League football betting fixtures this weekend.

Tottenham 9/20 Draw 3/1 Blackburn Rovers 6/1

Harry Redknapp has set his squad a target of 19 points from their remaining matches which are enough point, he believes, to qualify for next seasons Champions League. Apart from the unfortunate Woodgate, sidelined for the rest of the season with yet another groin injury, Harry has a full squad to choose from. 15 point separates these teams in the league after twenty eight matches. Spurs have won their last two games and have a very good home record. David Dunn is back for Blackburn which is a boost for them, but they lost to Liverpool in their last match and have been particularly missing a regular goal scorer with the goals they have achieved coming from all over the starting eleven. I think Tottenham have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League and this is a match they should win. 9/20 is not too bad for a good chance of success at home for Spurs.

Stoke City 21/10 Draw 9/4 Aston Villa 6/5

Initially I was attracted to Aston Villa’s odds, but the more I look at this match the more attractive the draw becomes. Gabriel Agbonlahor returns from injury and a quick return to form is essential for Villas winning chances. Their last match was a victory over Burnley 5-2 and winger Stuart Downing is in great form at the moment. Stoke are always a threat thanks to Rory Delap’s lethal throw-ins but they have packed a punch this season in other ways. Finally getting a bit of respect in the league, according to their manager, I will give them a bit of respect too and due to Villa having on-off away form I think Stoke can do enough to draw this match. 9/4 for the draw is my tip here, but you could easily make an argument for Villa winning this match.

Hull City 13/2 Draw 13/4 Arsenal 2/5

Because we have gone for a draw tip, which I always think looks risky in a bet, I have chosen what I think is a decent priced banker for our third selection. Bendtner scored his first hat-trick for Arsenal in midweek in the Champions League rout over Porto and I think the team is more than capable of winning this match. Be aware that Cesc Fabregas is likely to be rested but Arsenal have much strength in depth, arguably the most of any team in the Premiership so they can cover his absence with players like Nasri, Denilson and Vela offering alternatives. At nineteenth place in the league I do not believe Hull can hold Arsenal off for 90 minutes and they have lost their last three matches in a row. 2/5 for Arsenal to win is short odds, but they should win.

If you back the selections in a £10 treble your total return including your stake would be £65.97. Two of the selections should win and hopefully the draw will work out. The season is getting interesting, so get your bets on early with bwin.com.

Good luck with your football betting this weekend!
