My best odds pick from Champions League round 5
We have come to the fifth round of Champions League. And just as normal some teams are already qualified for next round after four games. Other teams are still struggling to take one of two places that give them a place in the knock-out round and there is also teams that can’t reach top-2 places.
It has always been like this after four rounds and this year is not different.
In this text I will give you my best pick from the first day of round 5, and that means group E – H. Beside my best odds pick I will give you my opinion about some other potential betting games that I feel interesting.
Here are the odds that bwin champions league odds offers for these games:
Rubin Kazan 1.90 draw 3.35 Dynamo Kiev 3.85
Mark that this game starts at 18:30 CET
Debreceni 9.00 draw 5.00 FC Liverpool 1.30
Fiorentina 2.00 draw 3.20 Olympique Lyon 3.70
Glasgow Rangers 2.60 draw 3.20 VfB Stuttgart 2.60
Unirea Urziceni 3.20 draw 3.15 FC Sevilla 2.20
AZ Alkmaar 2.10 draw 3.20 Olympiakos Pireus 3.40
FC Arsenal 1.30 draw 5.00 Standard Liege 9.00
FC Barcelona 1.75 draw 3.4 Inter Milan 4.50
My best odds pick of the day:
Barcelona vs Inter Milan, home win @ 1.75
This is not only the most interesting game today but even the most valuable to bet on. The pre conditions are that Barcelona has to go for a win today to have a good chance to reach the second round. And anything but a place in last 16 in Champions League would be a big disaster for the defending champions from Spain.
They bought Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a big amount of money and even gave away their striker Samuel Etö’o on that affair and one of the biggest reason that made Zlatan move to Barcelona was that he wanted to win champions league, something he could not see happen in Inter Milan.
Most of the talk before this game has been about injured players. After Barcelona’s last game in the league they claimed that both Leo Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were unsure if they could play this vital match against Inter Milan. But Inter Milan’s manager, Jose Mourinho, went out to the press and said that he was pretty sure that at least his former striker Zlatan was ready to play for 99,999 %.
With or without Zlatan (I almost feel like Bono) doesn’t matter, that my opinion. Because I am pretty sure that Barcelona will win this game any way. I think that the Catalan side is stronger then Inter Milan in almost every position on the field and beside that they are even very strong home at Camp Nou. The only position that I find Inter Milan stronger is goal kepper Julio Cesar who is better then Victor Valdes. Beside that Barcelona is better on the defence as well as the midfield and attack.
Those who saw the last game between these teams back in the first round probably saw the same thing that I see – that Barcelona outplayed Inter totally, especially in the second half, and that match was played in San Siro, Inter Milan’s home ground.
Today Barcelona is forced to win and Inter can still go trough even though they loose this game by winning their last match against Rubin Kazan, home in Milan.
So I find the odds 1.75 from bwin very interesting today and choose to pick this bet as my best of the day.
Some other interesting picks for today:
Unirea Urziceni 3.20 draw 3.15 FC Sevilla 2.20, Home Win @ 3.20
Normally Sevilla is way better then Unirea from Rumania and I would never recommend anyone to bet on Unirea to 3.20 in odds. But as nearer the final round we come in all group stages the pre conditions changes. And that means that you have to revalue the odds based on how much the teams have to play for and how you predict that the motivation can be on both sides.
This is a kind of match where one of the sides, Unirea Urziceni, is highly motivated to win since they are fighting for a place in champion’s league’s knock out stage. While the other side, Sevilla, already have secured their place in last 16 and are “only” playing for their honour and group win. But the even though they might loose today they have great chances to win the group in their last game against Glasgow Rangers at home in two weeks.
I think that Unirea is one of the tournament’s biggest positive surprises and actually it doesn’t matter how they end this tournament. They have already made more points that I could guess. But when you are in that position that they are before this game a top 2 place is all they are aiming for.
And compared to how they have played earlier in this group I wouldn’t be surprised if they at least got one point in this game. Because Sevilla is not already trough to next round, they are even struggling at the top of the Spanish league, and that means that they might rest some of their key players in this game.
Good luck with your betting-day
/Regards Amrish
