Champions League Quarter Final Match Betting Tips

Tuesday and Wednesday sees the first leg of the quarter finals of the Champions League and for football betting fans we have some great bets to choose from at bwin.com for these matches. Here are my feelings on each match and where you might put your money this week.

Tuesday – Bayern Munich 21/10 Draw 9/4 Man Utd 6/5

Man Utd are buoyed with the news that Wayne Rooney will play along with Rio Ferdinand tonight after both players missed the last match. As a club Man Utd are looking very strong. But Bayern Munich has a strong team and Franck Ribery will view this as a chance to perhaps put himself in the shop window for a big money transfer this summer. Their home form has been good but against Manchester Utd they must avoid defeat to stand any chance in the return fixture at Old Trafford. I think this match will be a score draw of 1-1. Therefore my tip for this match is the draw at 9/4. The odds from bwin.com for the 1-1 draw are 19/4. There is over 250 bets on this match alone available at their website so visit https://www.bwin.com for the latest opportunities.

Tuesday – Lyon 21/20 Draw 21/10 Bordeaux 53/20

Both of these teams should be happy with the draw as they avoided the rest of the big guns in the last eight. Alou Diarra is missing for Bordeaux and he plays a key part in their midfield. Lyon have no new injury worries and their coach says it is up to them how this match goes, believing if they play well they will win. This is a classic French rivalry with Bordeaux having ended the seven year winning streak last year of Lyon winning Ligue 1. Bordeaux may be suffering after losing the French League Cup final last week. I thin Lyon are a good bet to win this match at home, especially as Bordeaux have a key injury in midfield. 21/20 offer a good return if we are correct.

Wednesday – Arsenal 21/10 Draw 23/10 Barcelona 6/5

Arsene Wenger must hope that Cesc Fabregas plays a blinder against Barcelona on Wednesday. Barcelona, however, have pledged to play attacking football and I wonder whether the absence of Ramsey who is recovering from his terrible leg break and their youthful developing side can contain a Barcelona team at the peak of their powers. Barcelona welcome back Gerard Pique, Xavi and Yaya Toure who have been declared fit for the match. The sensible bet is to back Barcelona at 6/5. To have any chance of progressing Arsenal must win 2-0 without conceding, which in my view is unlikely. I think Barcelona are too strong with a full strength team to pick from, therefore 6/5 for them to win the match seems a good bet.

Wednesday – Inter Milan 19/50 Draw 33/10 CSKA Moscow 7/1

Inter are the only team I expect to progress smoothly in this round. They have the opportunity at home to put the tie to bed with a goal scoring performance. I think 3-0 or 4-0 is not out of the question here. The tie really is in their hands. An interesting bet for me is giving CSKA a +2 handicap and backing Inter Milan, the odds for this is 17/4. I think Mourinho will guide his team to the semi-finals then they must hope for a good draw to face the winner of Lyon/Bordeaux for a route to the finals. Considering we have backed odds against results I am happy to back the 19/50 for the match win for Inter Milan here.

Good luck in whatever you bet on for the champion’s league betting this week and enjoy all of the action on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
