Betting-tips from Premier League – bwin odds

Christmas and New Year has passed and so even the FA-cup weekend that followed the week after the New Year celebration. This week it’s time for Premier League again, and after Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches almost all the teams will stand on 20 played games. That means that we have passed half time in this year’s Premier League.

If Arsenal wins their extra game that they are behind we will have three teams within two point’s margin in the top of the table, and it was several years ago that three teams where fighting that close in the top. According to the odds before this season Manchester United and Chelsea were big favourites. And Liverpool was supposed to be the challenger, not Arsenal like they have become. And after a strong autumn I defiantly think that Arsenal can challenge for the title all the way through out the season.

Here I will share with me my best betting tips for the coming weekend and even analyze some of the other matches that might bee interesting from a betting perspective. One general recommendation from me is that you should keep in mind that the Africa Cup of nation starts on Sunday the 10th of January, and that means most of the better African players will be away for a couple of weeks. First of all the odds for the matches that will be played:

Hull City 7.15   draw 4.35   FC Chelsea 1.40

Burnley 2.15   draw 3.20   Stoke City 3.30

FC Arsenal 1.40   draw 4.15   FC Everton 8.00

Fulham 1.60   draw 3.60   Portsmouth 5.50

Sunderland 1.90   draw 3.25   Bolton Wanderers 4.00

Wigan Athletic 2.85   draw 3.25   Aston Villa 2.35

Birmingham City 5.50   draw   3.65 Manchester United 1.60

West Ham United 1.75   draw 3.45   Wolverhampton Wanderers 4.60

FC Liverpool 1.85   draw 3.40   Tottenham Hotspur 4.00

Manchester City 1.35   draw 4.50   Blackburn Rovers 8.25

And my best picks for this weekend:

Fulham vs. Portsmouth – home win @ 1.60

Fulham has showed that they have become a really high-quality team with Roy Hudson as manager. Two years ago, before Hudson took over as manager, they where almost relegated. But a strong surprisingly finish meant that they avoided relegation with only three goals better then Reading. Last year Roy Hudson took them out in Europe with a strong seventh place, and even this year they are fighting in those areas in the table.

Fulham is a typical home-side this season with 6 wins in 10 games and 15 – 6 in goal difference. They have already beaten Liverpool (3 – 1) and Manchester United (3 – 0).

Portsmouth have woken up after their change of manager and former Chelsea manager Avram Grant has started to give their supporters hope for the future. But Pompay seems to have trouble with their economy and the player’s salary has been delayed three times already this season. It looks better for Portsmouth now then three – four weeks ago, but I still think that they have a tough season in front of them.

With only one win, and five points, in ten away-games they have big problems on the road. Even though the situation is a bit brighter in Portsmouth I don’t see how they can steal points from Fulham at Craven cottage. That’s why I bet on the home win in this game to 1.60 in odds.

Wigan vs. Aston Villa – away win @ 2.35

Aston Villa has been fighting in the top of the league for a couple of years now but never been really close to take on of top 4 places that gives them a place in Champions League qualification.

But something tells me that they have a good chance to break into the big 4 wall this season. Villa has shown strength both at home and away and has taken 15 points in 10 away games.

Wigan has big problems with their defence and with 44 goals against them they are last in the table over conceded goals. Aston Villa is only two points behind Tottenham on the fourth place and has chased that position for a long time. A win against Wigan pays 2.35 in odds and according to me that’s a good bet.

Here is some analysis from some other matches this weekend:

FC Liverpool 1.85   draw 3.40   Tottenham Hotspur 4.00

Liverpool hasn’t gone this bad in many years and at the moment seventh in the league. I have seen many of Liverpool’s matches this year and there are only one or two matches that I have been impressed by their game. Even though they have won some matches they don’t play to good, and it feels like something’s very wrong in that club right now. I am pretty sure that Rafa Benitez would had been sacked if he hadn’t signed up until 2014 (witch means that it would cost the owners lots and lots of money to sack him right now).

Tottenham on the other side are really strong at the moment and have the fourth place, and they have deserved it as well. Liverpool has become way to big favourites in this game according to the odds, and my betting-tips are that they won’t win. If you are going to bet on this game I would recommend the draw, witch pays 3.40 in odds. Even the away bet is interesting.

Two other winners that I think should win are West Ham and Manchester City. City’s odds aren’t valuable, but “Hammers” might be interesting if they don’t have too many injuries.

Good luck with your weekend-bet
