Football Betting Tips For Saturday’s International Games
Here are my weekend football tips for the matches to be played in the World Cup Qualifying matches. Scotland lost 2-0 to Japan but hopefully the rest of our national teams can fare slightly better against their opponents. Let’s take a look at the matches.
Ukraine 2.70 Draw 3.50 England 2.35
England have amazing value today to extend their run to wins to nine wins out of nine in their qualifying group by beating the Ukraine at 2.35. As always there is a wide selection of available bets to wager on and the football betting odds from bwin.com offer a secure place to bet online. The value from this bet comes from Capellos guarantee that he is going to field his full strength side despite the fact England are already qualified. This is in contrast to most managers who would use the opportunity to experiment. I definitely think England can be backed for this match.
One can see the logic in this approach. International matches are few and far between and if you constantly experiment the full strength side cannot find the solidarity and consistency required to beat the best teams towards the end of a tournament. This is perhaps the problem with the England team over the last few tournaments that when it comes to the crunch there has been so much experimentation that the players are simply not as comfortable within the first eleven as they should be. We hope that this strategy pays off next summer.
Finland 1.80 Draw 3.45 Wales 4.25
For this match I think Finland will win the game. I would love to see Wales make it to a major competition but unfortunately this is now out of reach as the best they can finish is third providing other results go their way and they win their final two matches. Wales only have 13 fit outfield players for this. Wales will be hoping to give vital experience to players like Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale who will be the core players in the team for some years to come, along with highly rated Wolves forward Sam Vokes who takes his place on the bench. Wales lost their match at home to Finland 2-0 and you would think that despite some exciting young players in the squad they are in for much of the same this time.
Republic of Ireland 3.40 Draw 2.70 Italy 2.40
Lead by Shay Given and Robbie Keane Rep of Ireland need two points from their remaining two games to guarantee themselves a place in the playoffs and the chance to play for a spot in the World Cup finals next summer. Whilst a giant killing seems unlikely there is a lot of support for the draw at 2.70 and I personally feel this is the bet to back in this game. Ireland are without Damien Duff, who is injured, Liam Lawrence starts in his place. Keane and Given are likely to win their 100th caps next week, so the team does have the experience to give Italy problems. Italy will likely field a team full of Juventus players with no less than seven taking the field from that club in their last match.
The treble bet with bwin.com for England, Republic of Ireland and Wales to win at a £10 stake would return £339.58. Good luck with your football betting this weekend and do not forget to check out the other types of bet you can have like first goalscorer, correct score betting and the various in play opportunities.
