Premier League Winner 2009 / 2010 Part 1:2
Premier League Winner 2009 / 2010 Part 1:2
Today its exactly 24 days left to the start of Premier league and even though there have been less transfers this year then the few last years there are things that have to been sorted out so you have as god prerequisite as possible.
In this article I am going to give you all the important transfers for the bigger teams in Premier League and a pick on witch team I think will win the Premier League Trophy 2009/2010. And of course I will write my own analyze of why I think that Premier league will end as I think. I have chosen to split up this text in to two texts (1:2 and 2:2) so it doesn’t become to long and heavy to read at one time.
The teams that I analyze are shared up in three categories; The Favourites, the Challengers and the underdogs.
My Bet: Witch team will win Premier League 2009 / 2010?
My pick; Liverpool wins Premier League 2009/2010 @ 4.00 (Bwin)
The Favourites
Manchester United is favourites to win the league even this year. Not as big favourite as last year but still pretty big once. They pay 2.80 in odds if they win Premier League and that’s to low to impress on me.
United might be the best team in the league but how will they handle the loss of their best player – Christiano Ronaldo?
C Ronaldo is not only a great football player but he has also scored lots of goals for the red devils. And when often when he doesn’t score goals he has been an important component who often takes the free kicks, corners and so on witch results in goals.
Ronaldo who left Man United to play for Real Madrid scored 84 goals only in Premier League in his 196 appearances for Sir Alex’s team and that’s a fantastic result, especially since Ronaldo plays as a winger.
United lost a player who totally scores about 35-40 goals each season and with his skills that he had it will be hard to replace. Besides Ronaldo they even lost a fighter in their offence in Carlos Tevez who went for the local rivals Manchester City. Even Tevez will be hard to replace with his fighting spirit and always hard working on the pitch.
Even though Sir Alex has a complete and solid team and has bought some players that will try to replace Tevez and Ronaldo, I find it hard that they can take a third league win in a row. And beside the loss of the players, how motivated are the older players to go out there and give 100 % in every game year after year?
I would never play Manchester United as winner of Premier League coming season for 2.80 as payback.
Challenger :
Chelsea will be the toughest challenger to compete with Manchester United for the Title this season if you go for the odds that the markets offer.
After last season ended there were lots of rumours that Didier Drogba was on his way to leave the club. According to media (newspapers) he was flirting with his former manager Jose Mourinho and Inter and lots of speculators put him there. But it seems that the Ivorian striker stays in Chelsea and that’s very important if they want to challenge for a league title.
The latest rumour is now that Manchester United is planning to put a massive bid on Chelsea’s defender and captain – John Terry. I am pretty sure that Terry stays in Chelsea but you never know when it comes to City these days. They have bought lots of players in this silly season and my believe is that no one is invaluable even if it probably will cost a lot of money for Manchester City to convince both Chelsea as club and John Terry as player that a transfer will be the best solution for all parts.
Chelsea has a strong team and since they haven’t lost any key players I have a feeling that Chelsea will have a god chance to compete for the title this year. And I even think that their players, fans and board are full of revenge after have finished second – second – third the last three years. Warning for Chelsea and their strong team, my guess is that they will compete with Liverpool for the league trophy.
